Spread of Christianity
Christianity spread through the Roman Empire despite persecution because of many reasons. Christianity began to spread because of the faith that the people of God had. If it had not have been for their faith they would not have had the perseverance to overcome their persecution. The Christians also used a symbol of a fish so they could talk about the Lord without the Romans knowing about it. The symbol of the fish is still popular today. The symbols is the Greek word fish stood for Jesus Christ Gods Son Savior. God preached mainly to the poor saying "blessed are the poor". Most of the followers were poor and followed everything God said to do. The people believed in heaven there would be plenty of riches for them as God had said to the poor.
